Well, Haley is six weeks old and growing so fast. Everyone tells me to cherish every minute because kids grow up within a blink of an eye…I’m doing my best to cherish every minute. Haley is such a joy. Hayden and I are spellbound by her smiles, baby talk, kicking feet, and bright eyes. We are so blessed to have such a good baby too. The only time she cries is
when she’s hungry. She sleeps great and I only get up with her once for a quick feeding and then back to bed for both of us. I’ve been reading a
lot (Baby Books) and playing with the baby. We try to get out of the house at least once a day to run errands or meet up with my Mom or some friends so we don’t get sick of staying in all the time. I’m being cautious about her exposure to germs until she gets her 2 month shots. I’ve joined a New Mom’s group though that should be really fun. Haley and I are senior members because many of their babies aren’t due to be born for the next couple months.
Hayden has been really busy with work, playing volleyball at church (Haley goes to all the games to cheer him on!), working out his new punching bag, and helping friends with a couple wood working projects. Haley and I love that he gets to come home for lunch and hang out with us for an hour. We are lucky that he works so close to home. Haley saves most of her best smiles for her Dad. She loves it when he sings her silly songs.
